Custom roof-mounted hardware created for Motive dash cameras used in box trucks. The mount positions the camera where a rearview mirror would normally sit and is designed around secure installation and hot working-vehicle cabs.

Why it was built
A specific mount for a specific working environment.
The mount was developed to give Motive camera hardware a clean, secure overhead mounting point in box trucks. It attaches to the cab roof in the position normally occupied by a rearview mirror. Two self-tapping screws pass through channels behind the front plate, keeping the visible face straightforward while anchoring the part to the vehicle.
Early parts were printed in PETG. Long-term cab heat exposed warping, so the material strategy moved toward carbon-fiber nylon for better temperature resistance. That kind of real-use feedback is central to how Outa The Box Solutions improves a product.
